Research
A research was conducted on how pet owners grieve after losing a companion animal, referencing seven key studies to identify challenges and solutions. The findings reveal that pet loss often results in profound, disenfranchised grief, where societal norms fail to validate this emotional experience. Addressing gaps, such as formal rituals and disaster-related support, remains crucial for improving emotional recovery.
